The memorial service will be conducted on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Homes, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 on and following the memorial service at the funeral home.Mike was cremated.Burial will be at a later date. Mike is survived by his wife, Elza K. Jones, his daughter, Heather Jones of Augusta; mother and step-father, Mrs. Roberta and Louis Hamilton of Keysville; step-son, Andrew Khayrvllina of Augusta; his sister, Debra Spaduzzi and her husband, Stephen, of Franklin, Tennessee; his brothers, Pat Jones and his wife, Regina, of North Augusta, Fred Jones of Norman, Oklahoma, and Brett Jones of Columbus, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.Mike was preceded in death by his father, 1 SG. Mike Jones. Mike was born on October 24, 1950 in Camp Stoneman, California. He served in the United States Navy.He was an engineer for Chevron Oil Company.Mike was a master diver and scuba instructor.He operated The American Diver.
