Michael Gordon Dinkins

Augusta, GA. Michael Gordon Dinkins, age 53, of Hephzibah, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Alma Dinkins and his mother, Mildred (Miracle) Dinkins. Michael was a pipefitter for Local #150 for over 20 years.He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish.He also loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He is survived by his father and step-mother, William Gordon and Martha Dinkins; his 2 daughters, Tabatha Riggs and Kayla Harden; his sisters and brothers, Evelyn Wolford, Butch Dinkins, Eddie Dinkins and Debbie Hobbs. Family will receive friends Tuesday 6 pm to 7 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd. HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886, with Memorial Services to follow at 7 pm with Pastor Tony Lamb, officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in Michaels’ honor.
