Melvie D. Arrington

Melvie D. Arrington, 82, entered into rest January 5, 2018, wife of the late Berry Arrington. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm at New Hope Worship Center with Reverend Rich Bowen and Reverend Jason Burton, Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and the family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am until time of service. Melvie a native of Swainsboro, Georgia lived the past 60 years in Augusta. She was a member of New Hope Worship Center, and taught young married couples Sunday school class. Survivors include her sons, Berry M. Arrington, Jr., George Russell Arrington, daughter, Vicki Hinson and sisters, Peggy Robinson, Carolyn Bornemann and nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, B.G. and Frankie Moxley, brother, George Moxley, sister, Lyndel Jones. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Worship Center or Wrens Church of God.
