Maxie (Richardson) Kitchens, 76, of Augusta, GA., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 25, 2013.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Kitchens, her parents, Ellis and Avis (Burgess) Richardson and one sister, Margie Richardson. She retired from Piney Grove Baptist Church with more than 23 years of faithful service as their secretary and their organist. She is survived by her children; Susan (Richard) K. Bly of McBean, GA; Beverly L. Kitchens of McBean, GA., and Paul E. Kitchens of Augusta, GA.;2 grandchildren, Lauren A. Bly and Brandon C. Bly. Family will receive friends Saturday 4 pm to 7 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, GA., 30906, 706.798.8886. Funeral Services will be Sunday 2 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Joyner and Rev. Nevil Smith, officiating.Burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be Bennie (B. B.) Chavous, Bill Crawley, Lance Poindexter, Mike Russell, Ray Saxon and Mike Saxon.
