Mattie A. Williams

Mattie A. Williams was born March 28, 1935 to the late Maggie and Hosea Allen Sr. Mattie or “Muh” as she was more affectionately known, worked at Ft. Gordon Army Military Base in Civil Services where she retired in 1993 after many years of service. She was a dedicated member of Rock of Ages CME church. Where she served as the Church Secretary for many years. Muh shared her love for the Lord with all of the children in the family. Family members fondest memories are of her picking them up every Sunday morning for Sunday School and Church. Mattie was proceeded in death by her brother Hosea Allen Jr. and she leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister, Hattie B. Beard; her children Keith (Shawn) Johnson Sr, Sandra Brown, and Nicole Williams; Grandchildren, Barri Williams, Keith Johnson, Jr., Eric Johnson, Tanya Clark, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. There will be a viewing on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Fairhaven Funeral Home from 2pm-4pm.
