Matilda Oliver Clements

Mrs. Matilda Oliver Clements, 84, of Waynesboro, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at her residence. Born in Telfair County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Oliver and Rosa Graham Oliver. She ran Clements Auto Wrecking with her husband and was a member of McBean Baptist Church. Matilda enjoyed gardening, quilting, and watching humming birds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Clements. She is survived by her daughters, Tina (Mike) Miller, Waynesboro, GA, Kimberly Miller, Michelle Miller; sons, Don (Denise) Clements, Hephzibah, GA, James “Jay” (Susan “Susie”) Franklin Clements, Jr. Roswell, GA, sister, Ella (Jose) Rocha, Port St. Lucy, FL, brothers, George (Anita) Oliver, San Antonio , TX, Rufus Oliver, McRae, GA, grandchildren, James Baker, Gregory Baker,Jr., Brittney Baker, Jamie Clements, Amber Clements, Rebecca Clements, great grandchildren, Carson McDonald, Bryson Baker, Peyton Tate. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3pm in The Poteet Funeral Home Chapel, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta with Rev. Wayne Todd officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
