Mary Messick

Mary P. Messick, 88, entered into rest July 15th, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John H. Messick Sr. who passed on December 30th, 2020. Mary and John, natives of Murfreesboro, TN. moved to Martinez in 1991 to be closer to their son, daughter in-law, and granddaughters. She was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Reverend John H. Messick Jr. (Cheryl), two granddaughters, Mary Grace Jaques (Stephen) and Anna Messick, and great grandson Russell Jaques. Mary was known for her love of animals, dove collection, and good country cooking. She and John loved going to Cracker Barrel. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at University Extended Care Westwood, who took excellent care of her and worked tirelessly to keep her safe during the COVID- 19 Pandemic this past year.
