Marvin Eugene Scoggins

Marvin “Marty” Scoggins of Evans, Georgia died on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Golden Living. He was 74 years old. Mr. Scoggins was cremated and the service will be private. Marvin “Marty” Scoggins is survived byhis children, Tracy Hollingsworth and her fiancee Dean Sanders, Thomas David Scoggins and his wife Sharon, Trever Scoggins, Marty Scoggins Jr. and his wife Terry, Sonny Crabb and his wife Kay, Cindy Hollman and her husband Wilburt, Connie Scoggins; sister Annette “Pat” Scoggins; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and special friend Maria Powell. Marvin “Marty” Scoggins was a member of Green Meadows Golf Course and loved a good game of golf with his friends Danny, Vernon, and Jimmy. He was also a member of American Legion Post # 205. The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta 706.798.8886, is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
