Marshall Lewis Williams, 82, of Dearing, GA, entered into rest on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Marshall was born in Big Stone Gap, Va. on November 21, 1938. He was a loving husband to Mary Jane for 58 years, a phenomenal father, and a wonderful grandfather “Papa”. He is proceeded in death by his sister, Marcella Cawood (Jack). Marshall is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Jane Williams, his daughter, Sharon Collier of Dearing, GA, his son Marshall Lewis Williams III “Mike” (Cheri) of Evans, GA and his sister Tommie Weatherly (Richard) of Big Stone Gap, VA; Three much loved grandchildren, Alison Knoeferl (Dakota), Kate E. Williams, and Evan C. Williams and one great grandchild, Blakelynn M. Knoeferl and by his nieces Pam Ashbrook (Michael) and Elizabeth Russell (Chris) of Big Stone Gap, VA. Marshall spent 25 years working at St. John Towers and retired as an assistant administrator in 2007. He was an active member at Fort Creek Baptist Church in Dearing, Ga. He enjoyed attending Brotherhood and Fort Creek at 12th street. A memorial service is not planned at this time.
