Marion Karlene Shropshire Lewis

Myrtle Beach, S.C. Marion Karlene Shropshire Lewis, 69, entered into rest and went to be with her Lord and Savior, October 3, 2015. She had been a longtime resident of Augusta, GA., before moving to Myrtle Beach, S.C.She was born in Front Royal, Virginia, on August 27, 1946.The daughter of the late Myrtis Hawk and Walter “Slim” Shropshire.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Lewis, Sr. She was a retired nurse and started “Manna of Love Food Share”.She always loved helping those in need.A longtime member of Trumpet In Zion Ministries in Augusta, GA. She is survived by one sister, Karen Ray; 1 son, Robert B. (Dawn) Lewis, Jr.; 1 daughter, Patricia (Enlr) Lewis, 6 grandchildren, Brandon Heath, Christian Heath, Cayla Heath, Ashley Underwood, Tyler Hewitt and Shayne Hewitt; 1 great grandson, Chance Underwood; 1 aunt and a host of cousins and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886 The Home Going services will be at 11 am Thursday at Trumpet In Zion Ministries, 775 Laney Walker Blvd., Augusta, with Apostle Daryl McCoy, officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA., on Friday at 11 am.
