Augusta,GA- Mrs. Marion North of Augusta died on February 3,2011 at her residence. She was 98 years old. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m.at the Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd. Augusta. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Blythe Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Survivors include, five sons, Edward Cawley, Billy Cawley, Danny Cawley, Winston Cawley and Jack D. North. Daughters, Aileen Lord, Mary Cawley ,Sandra Keel,and Pat Knotts. Twenty three grandchildren, twenty three great- grandchildren,and six great -great grandchildren. Mrs. North was preceded in death by two husbands, Audley Cawley and Emory ( Jack) North. Sons, Randall Cawley and Gene Cawley, infant son Nicholas North, and infant daughter, Edith Cawley.Two daughters, Grace Sutton and Pauline Hinton. Mrs. North was a professional mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Marion was a member of Windsor Heights Baptist Church. The entiresurviving family wishes to acknowledge the selflessness sacrificial service of love and care over the last thirteen years provided by Winston and Mary and by the compassionate care of Odyssey Hospice.
