Mariana Perez Rodriguez

Mariana Perez Rodriguez, 68, of Augusta, passed away Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Tapley’s Personal Care Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 5, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home with interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park. A native of Puerto Rico, alongside of her husband she traveled to multiple places while being an Army wife. Their last duty station was at Fort Gordon and they settled here in Augusta 30 years ago.She loved to cook and garden and as a mother, she always enjoyed the traditions of family get togethers and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia R. Coleman and Melissa Rodriguez Morgan; a son Jorge Luis Rodriguez, Jr.; grandchildren, Veronica Rodriguez, Jacob Adams, Sarah Adams, Jahnexi Morgan, Gage Rodriguez, and Yahmadi Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Luis Rodriguez, Jr. in 2016. The family will receive friends Friday May 4, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.
