Margaret Woodruff

Mrs. Margaret Ann “Stumpy” Woodruff, born in Crawfordville, Florida, was a lifelong Augusta resident, died on Monday, July 11,2011 at University Hospital.She was 75 years old. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road.The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in The Poteet Funeral Home chapel. Committal services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Margaret was a homemaker and loved working in her flower gardens.She was a devoted and loving wife, mother to six children, grandmother to seven children and great-grandmother to sixteen children. Margaret is survived by her husband for more than 40 years, Mr. Christopher Woodruff; children, Lelia Roberts, Wallace Sousa, Ellen Wall and her husband James D. Wall, Sean Cochran, Aaron Sousa, andCheryl Lariscey all of Augusta;seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Scott Gates, Martin Morris, Ricky Johnson, Joey Woodruff, Derek Terrell and Ted Rackard.
