Marcel Broennimann, 45, of Aiken, passed away on August 28, 2022 in Aiken. Marcel was born in Bern, Switzerland to Kurt & Irene Broennimann on May 9, 1977. He married Angela Rae Moore on March 12, 2005 in Stuart, FL. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Textron Industries for 15 years. He served as a tank driver in the Swiss Army in his youth. Marcel Immigrated to the United States from Switzerland after meeting his soulmate and best friend Angel and became a permanent resident of the United States in 2007. In 2017, he received his citizenship and became a United States citizen. He loved this country and was a patriot, through and through. He had a passion for racing, motorcycles, hiking and snowboarding, but his real passion was for Christ. If the church doors were open, that is where you could find him. He was a true servant for Christ. In 2011, Marcel was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. He fought this crippling disease with a smile on his face and joy in his heart. Marcel was truly an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. Marcel is preceded in death by his father Kurt Broennimann. Marcel is survived by his spouse Angela R. Broennimann; his son Nathan K. 15, daughter Faith 21, and son Justin 27, Mother Irene Broennimann; Mother-in-Law Ruby Lynn Baker and spouse Lloyd; Sister Corinne Brunner and spouse Mario; Brother-in-law Tony Moore and Spouse Jennifer; Nieces Larissa and Shawna Brunner and Megan Moore; Nephew Matthew Moore; 5 great nieces and nephews and countless Aunts, Uncles, and friends. Visitation will be 11am-12pm Saturday September 3, 2022 with Funeral services immediately following at Heights Church, located at 4631 Jefferson Davis Highway, A Beech Island, SC 29842 with Pastor Mark Canipe officiating.
