Mamie Lee Hymas

Mamie Lee Hymas, of Hephzibah, GA., passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, at the age of 84.She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Waynesboro, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudie Mae McCoy Newman and James Radford Phillips; brothers and sisters, James C. Phillips, Virginia E. Byrd, J. Gilbert Phillips, Sadie Mae Williford and Miriam Landry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce J. Hymas. She is survived by her children; Lynnette (Jerry) Swearingen of North Augusta, S.C., Claudia (Stephen) Fogle of Hephzibah, GA., Susan Duncan of Kooskia, ID., Stephanie (Kenneth) Jakubov of Augusta, GA., Ramona (Michael) Spicer of Hephzibah, GA., Tara (Clifford) Thomas of Hephzibah, GA., and Kevin (Alicia) Hymas of Hephzibah, GA.;30 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lonice L. Goodwin of Acworth, GA., Eulaween Barney of Salt Lake City, UT., and Betty Jo McLeod of Martinez, GA. Visitation will be Monday 6 pm to 8 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, GA., 30906, 706.798.8886.Funeral Services will be Tuesday 11 am at the funeral Home with Elder Garn Capps, officiating.Burial to follow In Hillcrest Memorial Park. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers; Eric Swearingen, Steven Swearingen, Adam Swearingen, Scott Fogle, Mark Fogle, David Gosneigh, Ryan Thomas and Joshua Hymas.
