Luisa B. Sibal

Entered into rest Thursday, June 8, 2017, Mrs. Luisa B. Sibal, 86, loving wife to Dr. Irineo M. Sibal, Sr. for 62 years. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road, Augusta on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Sibal was originally from Manila, Philippines but has lived in Augusta since 1974. She has been a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church since 1974. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest loves other than her husband were her children Marietta S. Maynard (the late Frank T., Jr.), Irineo B., Jr. (Patricia), and Lorna B.; her grandchildren Shirley Luisa Maynard, Frank Thomas Maynard, III, Patrick Irineo Maynard (Danielle), Luisa Geneva Nazario (Jesus), and Irineo Chamberlain Sibal, III; her great grandchildren Antonio Efrain Nazario, Jeyzanthony Nazario, Tatiana Gabriela Nazario, and Izayah Manuel Nazario. She is also survived by a younger sister, Paula B. Panuncio of Antipolo City, Philippines and was preceded in death by brothers, Adolfo Bustamante, Vadasto Bustamante, Efren Bustamante, and Ricardo Bustamante; sisters, Otilia B. Walse and Lilia B. Lagura. The family will receive friends at Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road on Sunday, June 11, 2017 form 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. All monetary donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the American Diabetes Association.
