Lloyd A. Newsome

Hephzibah, GA Lloyd A. Newsome, age 67, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at University Hospital. He was born August 1, 1946 to the late Robert Lee and Ruby (Wilcher) Newsome. Lloyd retired from the Medical College of Georgia as an Accountant. He served in the U. S. Air Force. He earned his Accounting Degree from Augusta College.He was State Chairman for Fair Tax. He was a very talented Artist having his works displayed at Gertrude Herbert Art Institute.He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs Fan….”GO DAWGS” He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jayne (Slice); 2 children, Jennifer Herron of Augusta and Bobby Herron of Hephzibah; his beloved and loyal dog, Tuco.He is also survived by a sister, nieces and nephews.
