Linda Gaynell Thompson

Linda Gaynell Thompson, age 73, entered into rest on March 23rd, 2021. Linda was born on September 30th, 1947 in Augusta, Georgia. In Augusta, Linda spent her time traveling to spread The Gospel as Evangelical Pastoress. She was also an avid gardener, an excellent cook, and an all-around family oriented woman. Survivors include, Son, John Evan Goad, Daughter, Linda Hillman, three sisters Janice Price, Ruth Stephens, and Tonya Wilson, three granddaughters, Jessica Goad, Sarah Hillman, and Lauren Thompson. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, the late John Blackstone and Nell Jordan Gay. A Private Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 2:00pm with Reverend Dewain French officiating. Pallbearers will be John Goad, James Gay, and Richard Stephens. The family will receive friends at McNeill Funeral Home from 11:00am-1:00pm on Saturday. Due to Coronavirus regulations the family will receive no more than 10 people at a time.
