Linda Mellow Leitza of Martinez, Ga. entered into eternal rest on August 8th, 2022.
Linda was born in Carbondale, Pa., and lived her childhood and early adult life in Scranton, Pa. until moving to Augusta, Ga. to marry Christopher Leitza also from the Scranton area.
After studying micro-biology in college at Keystone in Pennsylvania, Linda landed a job in the pathology department at Mercy Hospital of Scranton. Upon moving to Augusta in 1982 to marry Chris, who was stationed at Ft. Gordon, she was able to find a position at MCG in the pathology department as the 2nd year medical students class coordinator, which she ran until 1992. She then became a licensed realtor and worked with her husband for two years.
In 1994, she decided to follow her passion of the antique world and had become a lifelong Antique Dealer. In 2003, she also had the opportunity to expand her business as a partner with Chris and their very close friend and fellow antique dealer Rick Seigler, as a full-service new design and retail furniture store which she named Rennaissance Fine Furnishings, an anchor store at West Town Market Place, until the crash of 2008. She was highly respected in the antique world from New Jersey to South Carolina with her knowledge of antiques and finer glassware which will be missed by many.
She always loved going back to Pennsylvania for the 2–3-week Christmas holidays, and spending time at her vacation home in Hilton Head.
Linda was a most loyal friend and faithful spouse for over 40 years.
In lieu of flowers and visitation, she would appreciate a small donation in her name to The Augusta Dream Center.
