Linda C. Allen

Linda Cowart Allen, 52, entered into rest Thursday, September 22, 2011, with her husband of 26 years by her side at their home in Hephzibah, Ga. A viewing for the friends and family will be Sunday, September 25, from 4-7 p.m. at Poteet Funeral Home.A memorial service will be held Monday, September 26, at Poteet Funeral Home at 2 P.M. The committal service will follow at Hephzibah Vance Cemetery. Linda was born March 25, 1959 in Hahira, Ga to Willa Mae Purvis and Owen Cowart. She grew up in Adel, Ga, and attended Cook High School. She became the loving wife of U.S. Air Force MSGT Charles E. Allen, and was a beloved mother to her four children. She graduated Eastern New Mexico University with honours in 1991.She was an active artist, enthusiast of unique collectibles, animal lover and avid music aficionado. Linda was a greatly charitable and loving woman and will be deeply missed. Linda is survived by her husband, Charles E. Allen; mother, Willa Mae Purvis; father, Owen Cowart; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Randy Walker; daughter and son-in-law, Rana and Donnie Parramore; daughter, Ivy Allen; son and daughter-in-law Samuel and Jennifer Allen; son and daughter-in-law David and Marilyn Allen; along with her five beautiful grandchildren: Skyler Futch, Alana Futch, Gabriel Carter, Atom Allen and Lily Allen.Linda was preceded in death by her father, Tarrell Purvis; brother, Thomas Cowart; and sister, Kay Cowart.
