Mrs. Lillie Oellerich Tussey Mrs. Lillie Oellerich Tussey, of Augusta, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.The committal services will follow at Gracewood Cemetery, Gracewood, Georgia.Rev. David B. Hunter Sr. will officiate. Mrs. Tussey is survived by her children, James H. Tussey and his wife, Nancy,and Mary Tussey Frew and her husband, Bill; her sister, Mary Oellerich White, her grandchildren, Donald and James Frew.Mrs. Tussey was preceded in death by her husband, James Herman “Jimmy” Tussey, in November of last year, and by her three brothers, Robert B. Oellerich, Dietrick W. Oellerich, and William Grover Oellerich. Mrs. Tussey was a member of the Lutheran Church; her confirmation was at the Church of the Resurrection.Mrs. Tussey received her bachelors degree from the Georgia State College for Women; her masters and six year degrees from the University of Georgia.She was a teacher for forty four years in the Richmond County School System.She was head of the Mathematics Department at Hephzibah High School and Butler High School.
