Leonard Winward, Jr

Mr. Leonard Winward, Jr age 66 suddenly and unexpected entered into his final place on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at GHSU, Augusta. The Winward family resides in Waynesboro, GA and will deeply miss him along with the members of the community. Mr. Winward was born in Pawtucket, RI. He was a Mechanical Engineer for 38 years and recently become an Employee and friend of the Shaw Corporation at the Vogtle Nuclear Plant. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and he served during the Vietnam Era. He will be missed by the Masonic Community where he became a 31st Degree Mason. Leonard was an avid Gun and Coin Collector as well as a Member of the National Rifle Association. He will be missed dearly by his surviving wife of 31 years, Marylou Winward. He is also survived by his Daughter's Alexis Winward of Waynesboro, GA; Michelle Rivas of Ludlow, MA; Melanie Westcott(Daniel) of Brunswick, Ga. Preceded by his father, Leonard Winward, Sr. and survived by his mother, Dorothy Winward of Burlington, VT., brother, David Winward (Becky) of Burlington, VT., Niece, Megan & Nephew, Rick. Grandchildren, Daniel, Danielle & Kassy, great granddaughter, Sophia Marie. Also will be missed by him are his 2 best friends, Bullet & Sky.
