Mrs. Leona Francis Marx Mrs. Leona Francis Marx, of Hephzibah, died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010.She was 83 years old. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12, 2010 from 6:00 until 8”00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.Her sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Marx is survived by her husband of more than 53 years, Mr. Richard Marx; her children, Jane Hampton of Bellflower, California, Richard B. Marx and his wife, Cynthia, of Phoenix, Arizona, Leslie Marx and his wife, Della, of Inverness, Florida, Babette Eubanks and her husband, Larry, of Hephzibah, Penny Dalzell and her husband, Mark, of Augusta, Jeanette Kennedy and her husband, Sammy, of North Augusta, and Rick Robbins ofHephzibah; her sister, Jane Ohmart; her brothers, Chuck Francis and his wife, Carolyn, Nophe Francis, Dale Francis and his wife, Betty, and Jack Francis and his wife, Velma; twelve grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marx was one of ten children of the late Charley Brooke and Leona Holt Francis.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Fern Kirkendoll, in 2005; her granddaughter, Cassey Sanchez; her great-grandson, B.K.
