Leon Larry Edmonds Jr.

Mr. Leon Edmonds of Augusta went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, August22, 2010. He was 52 years old. The family will receive friends today, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Larry Jennings will officiate. Pallbearers will be Linnie Fields, Thomas Palmer, Wayne Rogers, Clint Rogers, Mark Funderburg and Bobby Williams. Mr. Leon Edmonds is the son of Mr. Leon Larry Edmonds Sr. and Mrs. Vera Williams Edmonds. He is survived by his loving wife Amy Edmonds; daughter, Mandy Arrington of Augusta; sisters, Sarah Givens, Eunice Sales both of Augusta; his brother, Robert Edmonds of Augusta; grandchildren, Britton Palmer, Coleman Palmer, and Roe Arrington all of Augusta. Mr. Edmonds is preceded in death by his parents. The family suggests that memorials be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church, AWANA Club, 5060 Mike Padgett Highway, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
