Lelia H. Shaw

Leila Shaw, of Harlem, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012, age 75. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church of Harlem. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene Patterson Hancock; her husband, Bill; a daughter, the late Debbie Smith and 1 grandson, the late Chris Yopp. She is survived by a son, Danny Cobb; 1 son-in-law, Lester Smith; 3 sisters, Julia Shelton, Betty Coleman and Mary Fincher; 1 grandson, David Yopp; 2 great grandchildren, Sophia and Skylar. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, GA., 30906, 706.798.8886, with services to follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta, GA. Memorials may be made to the church.
