Klark Klosson, aka Clark Darton Hosier, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in Augusta, GA after a valiant fight against cancer. He was born on December 21, 1940, in Fort Sill, OK to Robert (Bob) Hosier and Alyce B. Bowman. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Kenneth Klosson, and legally changed his name upon entering the army. As an army brat and through his own military service, Klark had many fond memories of Hawaii, several other states, Turkey, Japan, and Okinawa before finally settling in Georgia. His career included ASA, NSA, Signal Corps, GTE, General Dynamics, and Civil Service. Klark was an avid history buff, trivia nerd, and loved sudoku puzzles. He volunteered as a leader in both cub scouts and boy scouts and was a member of the Augusta’s chapter of the Knights of Columbus and active in Grovetown’s American Legion. He is proceeded in death by his father, mother, and stepfather, along with his siblings Carl and Curt Hosier. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Christina, their son Andrew Klosson (Samara), granddaughters Kaylee and Kaitlyn Klosson; their daughter Erin Briggs (Brent), grandson Jared Klosson-Briggs; and his siblings Kraig, Kenneth Michael (Ken), Kenena, Kirby, and Kinglsey Klosson, and their families. No service is planned at this time. Memories can be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choosing.
