Keontrez D. “Trez” Sherman Augusta, Georgia Keontrez D. “Trez” Sherman of Augusta entered into rest Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at The Medical College of Georgia Children’s Medical Center. He was 2 years old. The visitation will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Butler Creek AME Church, 1959 Tobacco Road, Augusta. Pastor Stephen B. Smith will officiate. The committal service will follow at Clanton Cemetery, Clanton Road, Augusta. Keontrez is survived by his father Kedric Sherman and mother Jaunchelle Renee Daniels Thomas both of Augusta; his grandparents Belinda Gordon of Augusta, Kenny Brayboy Jr. and his wife Ramona of Ridgeland, SC, Toni Renee Walker of Augusta, Clinton Sherman and his wife Loretta of Augusta, John D. Murray of Atlanta, Dennis Gordon and his wife Shay of Augusta, Fernando Weaver of Augusta; his great grandparents Mrs. Hattie M. Murray of Augusta, Mrs. Essie Sherman of Augusta, Franklin and his wife Roberta of Augusta, Shelia Johnson of NJ, Kenneth Brayboy Sr. of Ridgeland, SC; his large loving family of uncles, aunts, cousins, godparents and playmates. Trez loved going to church and hearing the pastor preach about the Lord. He enjoyed riding in the car no matter the destination. Each time his daddy bought him some new shoes his face would just light up, Trez loved shoes. He also loved his best friend, Elmo. Trez enjoyed spending time with his grandfather, whether it was riding around on his scooter or going to the store. Memorial donations may be made to Butler Creek AME Church, 1959 Tobacco Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906. The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta 706.798.8886, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
