Katie Bell Williams, age 93, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013.She was born June 22, 1919 in Augusta, GA.She was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman Isaac and Eva Beatrice Horton Brown and her husband, Lonnie Gay and her son, Ervin A. Gay, Sr. She is survived by her grandchildren; John (Margaret) Barker of Aiken, SC, Ervin A. Gay, Jr. of Augusta, GA., Coleman I. (Brandy) Gay of Rincon, GA. And Jason W. (Dana) Shire of Evans, GA., great grandchildren; Shena Smith, Jeremy (Ashley) McDaniel, Coleman Gay, Devon Gay, Andrew Shire, Christian Rossbach, Nicholas Barker and Harley Miller;great great grandchildren; Adyson McDaniel and Bryce McDaniel.Pallbearers:Ervin Gay, Jr., Coleman I. Gay, J. Andrew Shire, John F. Barker, Nicholas R. Barker and David Hopkins. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 pm to 8 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, (HWY 25), Augusta, GA., 30906.Funeral Services will be Thursday 11 am at the Poteet Chapel with Rev. Billy Atkins, officiating.Burial to follow in Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson County, GA.
