Kathryn Foral Robinson, 87, passed peacefully into eternal rest on November 17 at the Brandon Wilde Senior Community in Evans, GA. Known as “Kathy” to her many friends, she will be remembered for her ready smile, her profound love for her family, and her constant good humor, which she kept to the very end. And for her pink salad, which she firmly established as a Foral family tradition, and with which she made the world a happier place. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Kathy was born on February 18, 1937, in Hebron, Nebraska to Leonard and Marcella Gaffney, and grew up there along with her brothers John and Bob. She attended Holy Name High School in Omaha and while there fell in love with her future husband, Ralph Foral. The two were married on May 4, 1957, and after a brief stay in the Denver area they put down roots in Lincoln, Nebraska. Together they had five children, David, Mike, Mary, Jeanne, and Jim, to whom she was a devoted full-time mother. After Ralph’s death in 1989, she indulged her wanderlust and enjoyed many happy and eventful excursions with her girlfriends. On one fateful trip to Ireland, she met Paul Robinson - they became fast friends and were eventually married in Long Beach, CA in May of 2002. They lived the California dream for many years, travelling together to the four corners of the globe. After Paul’s passing in Jan 2022, Kathy moved one last time, to Evans, GA, near Jim & Emily. In her short time there she made many friends, all of whom will miss her cheerful smile and loving heart. Kathy is survived by her sons David Foral, Mike Foral (Mary Foral), and Jim Foral (Emily Foral), her daughter Jeanne Marfice, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Foral, her husband Paul Robinson, her brothers John Gaffney and Bob Gaffney, and her daughter Mary Balshaw. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Lincoln, NE – the time and date are to be determined. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
