Mr. Karl Fuerlinger Jr., 88, passed away peacefully in his home in the early morning hours of January 5, 2019. Son to the late Karl Furlinger, Sr. and Amalia Haidinger Furlinger, Karl was born in Mauthausen, Austria, and prided himself in the US citizenship that he gained early in his life, making Augusta his home for the past 66 years. Founder and owner of South Augusta Auto Electric, Karl will be lovingly remembered by his family for his impeccable work ethic, love for travel, and that famous head of white hair. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Fuerlinger, and stepson, Diether Jaksch, Sr. He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Sieglinde M. Kaiser, her daughter, Dorothy Stalling Hurst (Gary), granddaughters, Jennifer Anne Hurst (Josh) and Terri Jaksch Bray (Joel), grandson, Diether Jaksch, Jr., seven great grandchildren, five great greatgrandchildren, two brothers, Willie Aichberger and Kurt Furlinger, and a host of other family members and friends.
