Mr. Julius Anthony Imperati, Sr., 58, of Waynesboro, husband of Dorothy Imperati entered into eternal rest on August 20, 2016 at their residence while surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Friday, August 26, 2016 at Poteet Funeral Home Chapel, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta.Interment will follow at Botsford Baptist Church Cemetery. Julius was one of 10 siblings born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY, where he met his loving wife of 32 years 41 years ago. He was a man of many trades from certified welder to certified fork lift instructor. Julius retired from Bennett in 2012 after working with the same people for 22 years when he started with DSI in 1990. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Lucy Herrin, sister Lucy Lamonica, father Dominick Imperati, Jr., father-in-law James Shaffer, Sr., and longtime friend and best man William “Bill” Smith. His survivors include his wife Dorothy of Waynesboro, children Malinda, Rena and Wayne of Waynesboro, Ruby of Hephzibah, and Julius Jr. of Swainsboro. Grandchildren Wayne “Trey” Cody, Neil, Justin, Lucaas, and Myanda, all of Waynesboro, and Linda of Statesboro. Great-Grandsons George and Derrick both of Statesboro. Mother Lucy Imperati of Poughkeepsie, NY, siblings, Dominick Imperati of NV, Esther and Charles Toller of KY, Barbara Campbell, Bonnie Imperati, Carmella Imperati, Joseph and Laura Imperati, Norman & Tina Imperati, and Paul and Kim Imperati, all of NY.Mother-In-Law Patricia Lee, two brothers-in-laws James and Gary Shaffer and sister-in-law Evelyn Prince, all of Georgia. Also, several, too many to list nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
