Judy Ann Cardin

Judy Ann Carden Ellis, 72, of Hephzibah, entered into rest on Monday, September 10, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at The Chattanooga National Cemetery. A native of Chattanooga, she spent 21 years as a military wife before they settled in Augusta upon retirement 35 years ago. She was a devoted member of Pine Hill Baptist Church for the past 35 years. Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Jerry Ellis, Sr.; her children, Lisa Payne (John) and Jerry L. Ellis Jr.; her sister, Deborah Creek (Michael); grandchildren, Chris Reese (Heather), Sandra Lomenick, Brandi Christman; great grandchildren, Corrin, Samantha, Aubryn, and Savannah; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Wright Robert (Bob) and Dorothy Carden, a sister, Bobbie Jean Gilbreath, and a brother, Donnie Carden. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, and also on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at The Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S. Moore Road, Chattanooga.
