Mrs. Newsome a native of Garfield, Ga. lived most of her life in the Augusta area. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Henry C. Newsome, Jr., and his wife Michele, Appling, Ga. Wendell C. Newsome, and his wife Roxanne. Wayne L. Newsome and his wife Beverly, Hephzibah, Ga. Three daughters, Dianna N. Haynes, S.C., Wanda G. Miller, and her husband Olin, Baldwin, Ga., Donna J. Head, and her husband Bill, Augusta, Ga. Two sisters, Etta Cowart Hall, Twin City, Ga., Madge Lewis Dicks, Williston, SC.
