Juanita “Nita” Foster Milburn, 69, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to James “Jim” Milburn. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Beth Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Nita was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, to the late Douglas and Mary Foster. She was raised in Sparta, Georgia, and lived most of her life in Martinez, where she was a retired paraprofessional at South Columbia Elementary School. Nita’s faith and family were the most important aspects of her life. She was an incredible mother to her own children, and was like a mom to so many others. In later years she was a fun andloving Grammy to her five grandchildren. Nita was member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church where she served in the United Methodist Women’s Group and Annie Lewis Sunday School Class.She wasalsoa member of Burden Bearers Bible Study Group(Galatians 6:2). Additional survivors include her son Keith Milburn (Emily); daughters Donna Sidley (Sid); Susan Harris (Jeffrey); brothers Emmitt Foster and Tommy Foster (Kathy); and her five grandchildren: Emma and Jack Milburn, Allison and Caroline Sidley, and John Harris. The family will receive friends at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm, in the Fellowship Hall.
