The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Father Thomas Healy will officiate the service. Mrs. Ortiz is survived by her husband, Francisco Ortiz Jr.; her mother, Elena Rufina Amaya; five children, Estrella and her husband, Cosimo Scaravaglione, Cesar Mendez and his wife, Diana, Frances and her husband, Chris Siple, Francisco Ortiz III, Veronica and her husband, Eli Clark; her sister, Sandra and her husband, Christian Uhlen; eleven grandchildren, Sarah, Pamela, Gabriel, Zachary, Bishop, Xavier, Justin, Andrew, Frankie, Braiden, and Lillyanna.She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Maru.
