Mr. Juan Cruz Cruz US Army Retired Mr. Juan Cruz Cruz, of Augusta, died on Thursday, September 01, 2011 at Doctors Hospital.He was 85 years old. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 5, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road, Augusta. Mr. Cruz is survived by his loving wife of more than 42 years, Mrs. Alma Fay Cruz; his daughter, Darlene Lengal; his sons, John Charles Cruz, Stacey D. Kelly, Joseph L. Cruz, and Eric J. Cruz; his brothers, Lorenzo Cruz Cruz and Enrique Cruz Cruz; his sisters, Ana Cruz Cruz, AlfoncinaCruz Clark, and Maria Cruz Quan; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.He was the son of the late Francisco Salas Cruz and the late Romana Santos Cruz; along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Annie J. Cruz Rhue, his brother, Luis Cruz Cruz, and his sister, Manuela Cruz Quan. Mr. Cruz was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church.He retired as Sergeant First Class from the United States Army.He will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring man to the many family members and friends whose lives he touched.
