Mr. Joseph M. Henderson Mr. Joseph M. Henderson, of Augusta, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.He was 82 years old.The family will receive today, Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Committal services will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Mr. Henderson is survived by his children, Dene Bryson, and her husband, William, of Waycross, Georgia, Troye Hathaway, of Valdosta, Georgia, and JoDee Henderson, of Augusta; his grandchildren, Bo, Misty, and Billy; his great-grandchildren, Will, Neilee, Eilam, Kale, and Fallon; his brother and sister-in-law, Cran O. and Joanne Henderson; his nephews, Cran O’Llandt and Chip Harris.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Henderson, in 1997. Mr. Henderson served in the United States Marine Corp.He retired, after twenty four years of service, from Federal Paper Company.Mr. Henderson was a member of the Augusta Golf Course Dew Sweepers Club; his fellow club members will serve as honorary pallbearers at his service.Pallbearers are Neal Klein, Tony Moates, Charlie Wilson, Billy Nelson, Fred Klein, and Jeff “Butch” Lord.
