Mr. Joseph Matthew “Joey” Epperly of Hephzibah died on Thursday, September 11, 2008.He was 34 years old. The family will receive friends at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta on Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m.The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.Committal services will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Joey is survived by his wife, Gabriella Epperly; his daughter, Taylor Epperly; his son, Joseph Aaron Epperly; parents, Lewis and Donna Epperly; his sister, Teresa Kitchens; two brothers, Louis Epperly III and Robert Epperly; nieces, Ashley Kitchens, Crystal Kitchens, Haleigh Cook, and Hannah Cook. Joey is an Augusta native.He is a 1995 graduate of Richmond Academy.He was a fork lift operator at Kimberly Clark.Joey was an avid NASCAR fan.
