Biography Mr. Jon Rodney Hurst North Augusta, SC. Mr. Jon Rodney Hurst February 8, 1953 - July 16, 2013 Jonny went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 16, 2013 unexpectedly in his sleep from a massive Heart attack. He will be greatly missed; he had a big heart and a beautiful soul. Jonny was born in Aiken, SC. Jonny's love and passion was music! He played with Tony Orlando & Dawn, James Brown, Willie Nelson. He played drums & sang his signature song was "summertime" What a marvelous voice & talent. We will all miss your beautiful voice & passion. A special place in his heart was his nephew Stephen Shawn M. Hair. In Jesus Christ Name bless you Jonny! He was predeceased by his Parents Bettye Rose Hurst and Harlin L. Hurst, Sr., daughter, Olivia Nicole Hurst. He is survived by brothers, Harbin L. Hurst, Jr., Gary Michael Hurst. Sisters, Kathryn McCurry Hudson and Victoria Elaine Hydrick. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
