Johnnie S. Lee

Johnnie S. Lee, of Hephzibah, GA., age 84, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013.He was a member of First Christian Church.He retired from the U.S. Army and was a Chief X-Ray Technician for the VA Hospital.He was an avid Farmer, devoted Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Martha Chism Lee and his wife, Goldie Pauline Browning Lee. He is survived by 2 sons, Larry G. (Mary) Lee of Hephzibah, GA. and Johnny D. (Emmie) Lee of Jonesboro, GA. ;grandchildren, Larry G. (Mandi Debow) Lee, Jr. and Margaret M. Lee, both of Hephzibah, GA., Melissa (Daniel Goldstein) Lee of New York City, NY;great grandchildren, Grace Elouise Lee Goldstein, Gabreilla Paige Lee and Hunter Alexander Hobbs; brother-in-law, Leon Browning Jr., sister-in-law, Brenda Browning of Hephzibah, GA., his niece, Pamela (Chris) Gay of Hephzibah, GA., many other nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday (TODAY) from 6 pm to 8 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., (Hwy 25), 706.798.8886, with a Prayer Service to follow at 8 pm in Poteet Chapel, with Mr. Tony Price, officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday, 1 pm at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Nashville, GA. The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., (HWY 25) entrusted with arrangements.
