John "Lanny" Williams

Augusta, Georgia – Mr. John “Lanny” Williams, age 71, of Augusta, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Mr. Williams was born in Allendale, South Carolina, son of the late John G. and Ruth L. Williams.He was retired from the U.S. Navy.He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Christine Williams and her children, James Hillblom, Frank Hillblom, and Sharon Richardson, and grandsons, Brett and Dawson Richardson. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 615 Old Edgefield Road, North Augusta, SC, with Rev. Jimmy Coyle officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Richmond County Animal Shelter, 4164 Mack Lane, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
