John Swindell

Mr. John D. Swindell, of Augusta, died on Thursday, June 16, 2011.He was 70 years old. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at Phinazee Swamp Nature Park. Mr. Swindell is survived by his wife, Linda W. Swindell; his daughters, Elizabeth Woolard, Linda Jo Smith, Kerri Ready and her husband, Teddybear, Sherri Brown and her husband, Charlie and his son, Mike Woolard and his wife, Barbara; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Ann Williams, Amy Hill, Marie Lundeen, and Ellen Starnes; two brothers; Fred Swindell, Bobby Swindell and his wife, Sheila; sisters in law, Geneva Woolard and Sherron Askew; and brothers in law, Terry Woolard and Billy Woolard and his wife, Margaret. Mr. Swindell was born in Washington, North Carolina.Mr. Swindell was retired from Plant Vogtle, as a supervisor and from Augusta Industrial.
