John L. Montgomery

Hephzibah, GA. John L. Montgomery, age 67, of Hephzibah, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016. John was born September 8, 1948 in Augusta, GA., to the late Zennis Albert and Annie Whitener Montgomery, Sr. He was an electrician by trade and proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy in the Vietnam War until 1972. He is survived by one brother, Zennis Albert (Joyce) Montgomery, Jr. of Augusta; 2 nieces, Angie M. (Martin) Johnson of Sylvania and Lori M. Dye of Augusta; Also survived by 4 great nephews.He was preceded in death by his only sister, Julia M. Verkey. Graveside services will be Thursday, 3 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park.Everyone is asked to meet at the grave.
