John M. Endres, 87, of Grovetown, GA, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis (Biers) Endres and their children, Carl Endres, Karen (Endres) McGee. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary (Endres) Steiner. John was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He lived in Michigan through High School, with his late parents, John V. and Jean (Beaulieu) Endres, Survived by his siblings,Donald (Susan) Endres, Carol (Raymond) Knorr; and was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen (Endres) Steen. He honorably served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, and was discharged as an Airman First Class E-3. He spent many years in various sales positions with the Ames Tool Company, eventually becoming a National Account Manager. He retired in 1995. A talk show about the need for foster parents , inspired John and Phyllis to become foster parents for newborn to 3 year old babies. AND THIS IS WHEN HIS TRUE LEGACY BEGINS... Over the course of 35 years (1986-2021) they were foster parents to 143 babies until they were placed in their permanent homes. They often had more than 1 baby at a time in their home, which was always active and alive. I don't think Jack got a full night sleep in all those years. John lived a long, loving, honorable and fulfilling life and he will be greatly missed by so many.
