John P. Briele

John P. Briele 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday January 2,2018 at Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday January 6, 2018 at Poteet Funeral Home Chapel, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta with Pastor Don Prosser officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Briele served in the U.S. Army and was a long-time route salesperson for Standard Coffee Service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Joyce Briele, brother Ronald Briele and his twin sister Joan Fedkew.He leaves his sons Jeffery (Kelly) Briele and Jay Briele; daughter Jennifer Cowart; grandchildren Michael (Beth) Briele, Dalton (Autumn) Briele , Jonathan Briele, Randy Cowart, Christopher Cowart , John Paul Briele, Tiffany Gaudinier, Kayla Briele and Takota Snellings; several great-grandchildren ;brother Paul (Patricia) Briele and several beloved nieces and nephews . The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
