John B. Armando

Augusta, GA. John B. Armando, age 83, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at University Hospital. John was born January 17, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York.He worked many years as an Electrical Engineer for Bechtel (S.R.S) and was an Air Force Veteran, member of the VFW Post 500 and member of Curtis Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Armando; 3 sons, John M. Armando of Connecticut, Scott M. Armando of North Carolina and Andrew J. Armando of Augusta. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Armando and 10 brothers and sisters. Family will receive friends Thursday 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906. Services will be Friday 2 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Sherrell Dunn, officiating.Burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Johns’ honor to the church.
