Biography Mr. Jimmy R. Raborn, Sr. Retired Dispatcher Martinez, Ga. Mr. Jimmy R. Raborn, Sr., born 3/14/1938, passed away at his residence on September 20, 2013. He retired from Roadway Express after many dedicated years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy; He was a member of Martinez Baptist Church and served his Lord there. Funeral services will be conducted Monday September 23, 2013 at 2:00 pm from Martinez Baptist Church Rev. Phillip Winsett officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Willie Hutto, Doug Wheatley, Mark Mobley, Steve Rabun, Hugh Nelson, Charles Milton, Sr., Bill Bullock, Timothy Milton; Honorary will be Billy Becton and Bobby Mayo. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Joann, three sons, Matt Raborn (Kim), Kenny Raborn (Sharon),Jimmy Raborn, Jr. Martinez, Ga. Brother, Joe Raborn (Shelvy Jean), sister, Inez. Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gary S. Raborn. Jimmy was a much loved and respected man by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at Martinez Baptist Church 3632 Lynnwood Dr. Martinez, Ga. From 6:00-8:00 pm. Sunday evening.
