Jerry Wayne Wilkerson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Wayne Wilkerson, a beloved husband, father, brother and many friends on November 1, 2024, at the age of 77. Jerry passed away peacefully with his wife by his side in Augusta Ga. Born in Selmer, Tennessee on May 3, 1947. Jerry was the cherished son of the late Robert and Lesie Wilkerson, father to the late Jennifer Crouch, step father to the late T.J. and Ted Ready and brother to the late Judy Hinton. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Wilkerson, beloved daughters Suzanne Wilkerson and Kara Ready and his loving sister Janet Brown along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, friends and a special sister-in-law, Wanda Bowers. Jerry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army 101st Airborne where he exemplified honor and bravery. His years in service were marked by a steadfast commitment to duty and a deep sense of camaraderie with his fellow soldiers. Following his military services, Jerry embarked on a rewarding career as an engineer with SRS. Over the years he was esteemed for his exceptional skill, diligence and integrity. Many colleagues will remember him for his quick with and unwavering dedication. Jerry Wilkerson will be deeply missed but his legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
