Jerry (Bubba) Pinkard, Jr.

Jerry (Bubba) Pinkard, Jr , 50, passed away on February 21, 2023, unexpectedly, in Augusta, Ga. He was born September 16, 1972 in Newport News, Va. He grew up in Poquoson, VA before moving to Orlando in his senior year of high school. Bubba enlisted in the US Navy in 1991, and was discharged honorably in 2004 as a Submarine Nuclear Electrician Chief Petty Officer. After his military service, he worked as a predictive maintenance engineer in both the marine industry, and in the commercial manufacturing industry. Bubba had a quick, sarcastic wit and a dry sense of humor. He was a lover of the Yankees, the Redskins, karaoke, trivia, and being on or around the water. If you asked Bubba about his son, Jerry, his pride was immediately evident as he would brag about how smart Jerry is and how he enjoyed being ‘schooled’ by his son on basically any and every subject!

Bubba was a beloved son, brother and father. He is survived by his son, Jerry III, his son’s mother Cheree (Lynch) Pinkard, his father Jerry, Sr., his mother Karen Bean, step-mother, Deborah Pinkard, sisters Emily (Pinkard) Smith and Kandis Bean, brothers Jason Pinkard and step brother John Griffith, and 4 nephews. Family memorial gatherings will be held at a later date.
