Jerry Bernard Hadden

Jerry Bernard Hadden, 78, of Hephzibah entered into rest on Friday, July 7, 2017. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 11, 2017 with Pastor Robert Driggers officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A native of Augusta, Mr. Hadden was a mechanic for Garrett Aviation of Augusta. He was a member of American Legion Post 63 where he was a participant in the American Legion Riders. Along with his enthusiasm for motorcycle riding, he was a hard worker, a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and later in life became a member of The Better Government Association of Augusta. Survivors include his daughters, JerryAnn (Garry) Tinsley and Debbie Hadden; step-daughter, Susan (Wayne) Canaday; a brother, Bobby Hadden; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Hadden was predeceased by his loving wife of more than 49 years Barbara H. Hadden. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 at Poteet Funeral Home.
